In Taormina, from June 23 to July 1, the LXIX edition of the Taormina Film Festival will begin with a great presence of Italian and international guests: Harrison Ford, Amber Heard, Khabi Lam, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bella Thorne, Zoe Saldana, Teyana Taylor , John Landis, Willem Dafoe, Abel Ferrara, Adriana Lima, Mads Mikkelsen, Placido Domingo, Phoebe Waller Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Adria Arjona, Deborah Nadulman Landis, Eduardo Noriega, Tony Servillo, Francesco Sciana, Filippo Scittano, Davide Minnella, Marco Perego, Edoardo Leo, Massimiliano Bruno, Caterina Guzzanti, Sara Baccarini, Anna Foglieta, Marco Bonini, Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Rocco Papellio, Roberto Ando, Salvo Ficara, Valentino Piccone, Fabio Rovazzi, Luca Calvani and many others.
The festival will also mark the start of the 2023 summer season of the Taormina Arte Sicilia Foundation. Under the auspices of Executive Director and Co-Artistic Director Barrett Wiseman and Co-Artistic Director Beatrice Venezi, the festival is once again a full production of the Foundation and will run until 1 July 2023.

A special retrospective of the career of director John Landis is planned, which will feature films selected by Landis himself, including the works of the master of cinematic comedy, as well as films directed by friends and colleagues.
Landis will be present at presentations and will conduct a masterclass during the festival.
on June 26 titled “Comedy in Cinema”, while Deborah Nadulman Landis will focus her masterclass on “Costume, Not Fashion: Clothes in Cinematic Narrative” on June 29. Here are the iconic films that will pay tribute to Landis’ art: Trading Places (1983); The Blues Brothers (1980); An American Werewolf in London (1981); National Lampoon’s Animal House (1979); Coming to America (1988); Three Friends (1986); Spies Like Us (1985); Into the Night (1985); Oscar (1991). Below are films chosen by the director as examples of his preferred film genre: terrible truth (1937, Leo McCarey), city lights (1931, Charlie Chaplin), life of brian monty python (1979, Terry Jones), way out west (1939, James W. Horn), Dr. Strangelove (1964, Stanley Kubrick), his girl friday (1940, Howard Hawks), duck Soup (1933, Leo McCarey), Rise of Arizona (1987, Joel Coen and Ethan Coen), Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949, Robert Hammer), bridesmaids (2011, Paul Feig).
