Maneskin is back in the race for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards

The extraordinary success of Maneskin does not stop there. The world-famous band of Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Ruggie and Ethan Torcio received a Best Rock nomination at the prestigious MTV Video Music Awards 2023whose ceremony will take place on September 12 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

For Maneskin, this is nothing less than the hundredth certificate of recognition in the international arena. the song that claims to be recognized is the ballad “The Loneliest”, the third excerpt from the album “Rush!” which immediately received recognition not only for the melancholic and simple melodic line, but also for the video thought out to the smallest detail, which confirmed the great aesthetic and expressive power of the group.

The news of the nomination came just in time, i.e. on the same day that Damiano and company announced the release of a new song called “Darling (are you coming?)”, a song with a signature style (in a very small part) in the teaser, where the voice of the frontman energetically interspersed with drum accents. In the last period, the artists became the protagonists of a tour with triumphant overtones, which, as we know, also touched Italy with unforgettable dates, also adorned with some gems that went viral, such as the performance of “shorty” sung a cappella from Damiano.

Meanwhile, there has been no shortage of surprises in the list of nominations reported over the past few hours by the giant MTV. The artist most present is the current queen of the market, Taylor Swift, a singer who is truly capable of monopolizing the charts and breaking all records for ticket sales for her tour in just a few minutes. The American singer-songwriter has received eight nominations, including, of course, Artist of the Year. This is followed by SZA, six nominations for her, as well as Miley Cyrus, Dodja Cat, Kim Petras, Olivia Rodrigo, Sam Smith and Nicki Minaj, all paired with five.
