Map of the coronavirus in Mexico: with 1,215 cases, CDMX, Edomex, guerrero, Jalisco and Puebla are the most affected


In Mexico the number of cases of people infected by Covid-19 increased to 1,215 patients confirmed, reported the Secretariat of Health (SSa) on Tuesday. The number of fatalities increased to 29.

The states with the most positive cases are Mexico City with a 234, the State of Mexico with 149, Jalisco 94, Puebla, with 81, Nuevo Leon, 76, Yucatan with 49 and Tabasco with 48.

There are 3,511 suspected cases, 6,282 cases negative, and a total of 11,008 people studied. In a single day, increased 121 confirmed cases by coronaviruses in national territory.

However, a new graphics on the rate of cumulative incidence, the number of cases in comparison with a population-based demonstrated that the positions change: Quintana Roo has the highest rate of incidence per 100 thousand inhabitants, with 2.73 or 46 confirmed cases.

The youngest patient is 0 years old and the oldest is 88, with a median of 42 years.

The type of patient COVID-19 is divided between 84% outpatient and 16% in the hospital. The percentage hospitalized is an upward trend in the measure that the age goes increasing, demonstrating that age is a risk factor to develop a serious illness, while the majority of cases outpatient are in the population young adult.

Of that 16% of hospitalized patients the 5% has a level of severitythe 1% is intubated, and 10% remained stable.

The 90% of the deaths confirmed to COVID-19 is of men and 10% belongs to women. The age range of deaths is from 37 to 85 years and the median is 56. The majority is concentrated in age groups advanceda risk factor for death.

Deaths by entity concentrated in the City of Mexico with eight cases; with three each, followed by Hidalgo, Jalisco, and Sinaloa; two in the state of San Luis Potosí; and one respectively in the states of Coahuila, Durango, State of Mexico, Michoacán, Morelos, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, and Veracruz.

Among the risk factors in the 29 confirmed deaths by co-morbidity are hypertensionwith 55%, followed by obesity, and diabetes.

The official claimed that globally, there are more than 750 thousand confirmed cases, and that the recent transmission has remained a steady pace. Of the total, 76%, or 572 thousand 719 cases, was confirmed in the last 14 days. These are the cases that contribute to transmission and spread of the virus. The case fatality rate overall is 4.8%.

Hugo López-Gatell, undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, reported this morning that the researchers of the unit tested experimentally four medical treatments with different drugs to cure the complications of the Covid-19.

The official confirmed that the Federal Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) approved the start of three of the four clinical trials, some of which will begin next week.

The declaration of a public health emergency, this Monday is the purpose of that the population understand and assume the importance of staying in their homes. The goal is to decrease the maximum possible speed of transmission of the virus COVID-19.
