Margot Robbie’s older brother has raised eyebrows after posting a scathing comment about his famous sister’s hit film Barbie.
Lachlan “Lockie” Robbie, who works as a Hollywood stuntman, announced on Instagram Stories last week that he was seeing the film for the first time, more than two months after Barbie’s box office success.
Sharing a photo of Barbie playing on his TV screen, Locky wrote: “Finally I get what it’s all about… such a good brother (laughing/crying emoji).”
The cruel joke comes amid claims that Margot is “growing apart” from Locky and her younger brother Cameron, an aspiring actor and model.
Speaking to New Idea magazine, one insider claimed that Locky’s message could be a hint that he’s not as close to his A-list sister as he once was.
The source also questioned why Margot didn’t work with Cameron to help him with his acting career.
“Something is wrong here, they used to be so close and now he barely talks about Margot,” they said, adding: “He knows how busy she is but it feels like she’s left him behind.”
Cameron is best known for his short stint on Neighbors, where he played the role of Jesse Porter from March to October 2021.
Cameron’s role comes 10 years after his Oscar-nominated sister left the set of Neighbors to pursue her Hollywood dream.
The last time the siblings were photographed together was in January, when Cameron interviewed Margot on the red carpet at the Australian premiere of her film Babel.
During the conversation, Cameron asked his sister if she felt at all like her character Nellie, an aspiring actress.
Margot addressed her question to her brother, asking his opinion.
“There’s a scene in the movie, and I’ll tell you, Margot and I haven’t lived in the same place for 15 years, and I watched it and I saw myself,” Cameron told his sister.
“Mannerisms,” Margot agreed.
Meanwhile, little is known about Margot’s relationship with her older sister Anya, who works as an accountant and prefers to stay away from the spotlight.
