Mary J. Blige and Demi Moore to be among 2023 CFDA Awards Presenters – WWD

It’s going to be a star-studded night.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America has announced the guest list for the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion. The awards ceremony will be held Monday at the American Museum of Natural History.

Mary J. Blige will unveil a special hip-hop tribute film created by legendary music video director Hype Williams and produced by New Era.

Demi Moore will present Goop with the Innovation Award presented by Amazon Fashion, which will be accepted by founder Gwyneth Paltrow.

The evening’s host Anne Hathaway will jointly present the evening’s American Women’s Fashion Designer of the Year Award with Narciso Rodriguez.

The American Accessories Designer of the Year award will be presented by actress, comedian and author Ayo Edebiri and Prabal Gurung.

Actors Charles Melton and Zac Posen will present the store with the Google US Emerging Designer of the Year Award.

Laura Linney will be on hand to present the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award to Maria Cornejo.

Naomi Watts will present Alina Cho with the Media Award in memory of Eugenia Sheppard.

Actress Greta Lee presented the International Designer of the Year award to Jonathan Anderson.

The recipients of several awards have yet to be announced, including the Fashion Icon Award, which will be presented to Serena Williams, the Board Tribute Award, which will be presented to Vera Wang, and the Founders Award, which will be presented to Eleanor Lambert. Domenico De Sole, American Menswear Designer of the Year.

According to reports, the nominees for American Womenswear Designer of the Year include Joseph Altuzarra for Altuzarra, Christopher John Rogers, Catherine Holstein for Khaite, Raul Lopez for Luar and Tory Burch.

Nominees for US Menswear Designer of the Year include Mike Amiri of Amiri, Willy Chavarria of KidSuper, Colm Dillane, Teddy von Ranson of Teddy Vonranson and Thom Browne of Thom Browne New York.

Nominees for American Accessories Designer of the Year include Ana Khouri, Brandon Blackwood, Coach’s Stuart Vevers, Luar’s Raul Lopez and The Row’s Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen.

In the Shop with Google US Emerging Designer of the Year category, nominees include Bach Mai, Connor McKnight, Rachel Scott of Diotima, Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell of Tanner Fletcher, and Carly Mark of Puppets and Puppets.
