New single released Matteo Bocelli “Chasing the Stars” (Capitol Records/Universal Music), written by Ed and Matthew Sheeran.
“Chasing the Stars” it’s a ballad written PARIS (Ed Sheeran, Fred again) showcasing Matteo’s vocal and performance qualities; a gripping story of a father-son relationship, which Ed Sheeran himself explains as follows: “The song Chasing Stars was written by my brother Matthew and myself about our father and how he supported us when we were younger with his music. I like the Matteo version. He’s a real talent.”
“When I was younger my father was my hero / Let me jump on his shoulders we sang to the moon“, he sings Matteo at the beginning of the song, later telling the story of a father who encourages his son “be yourself“.
“Like the Sheeran brothers– he claims Bocelli – I grew up in a family where music was central to our lives. Ed and Matthew wrote the song, but it looks like they wrote it especially for me. It was a privilege to work with them.”
