Matteo Bocelli’s new single “Chasing Stars” (Capitol Records/Universal Music) was released today, written by Ed and Matthew Sheeran and produced by PARISI (Ed Sheeran, again Fred).
Ed Sheeran:
“The song Chasing Stars was written by my brother Matthew and me about our father and how he supported us when we were younger with his music. I like the version with Matthew. He’s a real talent.”
Matthew Bocelli:
“Like the Sheeran brothers, I grew up in a family where music was central to our lives. Ed and Matthew wrote the song, but it looks like they wrote it especially for me. It was a privilege to work with them.”
Accompanied by the release of the song is also the official video filmed by Gaetano Morbioli on Lake Garda. “Chasing Stars” is taken from “Matteo”, the singer-songwriter’s debut album, which will be released on September 22 and will contain 12 tracks in English and Italian.
In September, Matteo Bocelli will return live with his first world tour, organized and produced by Live Nation, starting September 30th from Berlin and covering 12 countries, including the US and the Middle East, with 30 concerts. In Italy, it will take place in Milan and Rome on 24 and 25 October respectively.
