Meek Mill has revealed that he and Drake are quite close, despite recent rumors to the contrary.
In an interview with SiriusXM Hip Hop Nation which fell on Saturday (September 30), Dreams and nightmares The rapper said he and the Toronto native have a relationship where they can say anything to each other without fear of reprisal.
“Drake and I talk to each other a lot,” Meek said. “Someone said Drake’s ‘Slime You Out’ was corny.” I wrote to him. I said, “I don’t think ‘Slime You Out’ is corny, and I would tell you if I thought it was corny.” I just don’t think the song was corny. … But now the Internet is such that we can be cruel.”
He continued: “If he thinks my song is corny, he can tell me so. We’ve never been to a place like this before beef. And now we’ve gotten to a place where we can write to each other and say whatever we want… We have that honesty where we can leave it on the table and walk away feeling good about it. But before beef, we didn’t have that.”

Over the summer, Drizzy’s It’s All a Blur tour rolled through the City of Brotherly Love, where he and co-headliner 21 Savage filled the Wells Fargo Center for the first of two back-to-back shows.
Shortly after taking the stage, the Toronto native took a moment to reflect on his bitter feud with the MMG rapper, especially the time his former rival kicked him out of Philadelphia.
“You see who I came here with, right? I will always keep this hundred with me,” he told the crowd. “Last time I was in this building, this man right here, he’s been representing this city since he started doing this shit.
“The man, me and him didn’t get along at the time, and he’s a real nigga, so he definitely got us out of Philly real quick. We didn’t get to stay and relax. And like I said, I’m a real nigga, so I’ll tell you the truth.”
However, Drake has continued to celebrate the growth and friendship between him and Meek since he buried the hatchet.
“What means the most to me is that I can come back to this city and show my growth as two people, that we can come here tonight and represent fucking Philadelphia together,” he added, drawing loud applause from the crowd. “That’s what this shit is all about.
“So I appreciate Mick walking me on stage tonight. Philly, I appreciate you once again embracing me with open arms.”
