Publisher Paradox and developers Romero Games have announced that Meer Lansky will not appear in the Make It Count DLC for Empire of Sin as the new boss of the Mafia. Instead, players will be able to control the original character, which will represent the new archetype introduced in the DLC. The publisher said the decision to change the character’s design arose ” due to a conflict of interest .”
“Paradox has decided to redesign a new boss in the Make It Count expansion. We present Maxim Zelnik, the original character who will become the Mafia king of the new “Cleaner” archetype. It will use the same economic experience and game mechanics that were showcased at PDXCON, and this change will not affect the gameplay, ”- said in a statement released by the official Empire of Sin on Twitter.
The decision to remove Meyer Lansky from Empire of Sin – Make It Count ” had more to do with the intricacies of intellectual property and ownership of names .”
Empire of Sin is available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. The Make It Count expansion is due out before the end of the year.
