Michael B. Jordan has been cleared of charges stemming from his role in crashing a Ferrari into a parked car in Hollywood late last year.
Law enforcement sources said the investigation into Jordan has ended and no charges will be filed against him, TMZ reported Thursday.
The 36-year-old actor appears to be out of trouble as police are unable to definitively determine that he was behind the wheel during the Dec. 3, 2023, crash on Sunset Boulevard.
Later footage of the accident appeared to show Jordan’s blue Ferrari racing against another red sports car, but it was not enough for police to determine whether he was speeding before the accident.
However, an insider previously told MailOnline that Jordan was driving a Ferrari when the accident occurred. The Daily Mail has contacted Jordan’s representatives for comment.
While the video before the accident provides a glimpse into the incident, it was shot far behind the Jordan sports car and contains no information about the driver.
Because of its vantage point, it is difficult to determine whether the Ferrari was clearly speeding before it lost control and hit the parked Kia.
According to the publication, law enforcement sources said the crime Jordan may be charged with is street racing.
However, this would require the police to witness him driving at the time of the accident, or at least have some strong evidence that he was driving.
However, police did not arrive at the scene until after the accident and video of the incident did not allow police to determine whether he could be charged with speeding.
Without any clear outcome, they were forced to let him slip.
Jordan was seen talking to police shortly after the accident, but it’s unclear if police failed to ask him if he was driving or if he refused to answer the question.
They reportedly found no evidence that he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, but field sobriety tests were never performed on Jordan.
Although the Creed star is now off the hook, an insider previously told the Daily Mail that it was Jordan who was behind the wheel.
“This is a current incident,” they said. “Michael was annoyed that he had ruined his car but that could be dealt with. “He was and still is embarrassed by it all because he accidentally hit the accelerator and didn’t brake in time. “

His car accident occurred just days before he attended an event to promote the film “Creed 3,” which he directed and starred in.
“Michael appeared to be in good spirits and uninjured after his incident the other day,” the source continued. “He didn’t feel any worse because of what he was wearing and seemed to enjoy talking to everyone in attendance.”
A reporter for LA-OC.tv later said he tried to film the car and its occupants talking to police, but Jordan’s security “tried to push me away.”
The collision allegedly damaged Jordan’s car and the parked car, with the Ferrari losing its front passenger side tire, according to KTLA, which first obtained the video.
Law enforcement officials did not release the names of anyone at the scene because no one was initially charged in connection with the case.
