Michael Jordan ‘beats up’ NBA veteran, ‘awkward’ encounter leaves him rattled weeks later

Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls could have gone 73-9, just like the Golden State Warriors, but the former Miami Heat point guard wasn’t allowed to do that. The 1995-96 Bulls had one of the best seasons in history. However, Jordan was able to do this because he endured several embarrassing losses, one of which was against Rex Chapman and the Miami Heat. Isn’t it historic to be one of the 10 teams to beat the ’96 Bulls? Well, Chapman is proud of it. However, I paid the price in later confrontations. Well, this is Michael Jordan!

In February 1996, Chapman was unstoppable against the Bulls. The former NBA veteran scored 39 points, hit 9 three-pointers, and shot 70% from the field to help the Heat defeat Michael Jordan by 9 points. Chapman shared in an interview, “I started and there was no way they (the Bulls) or anybody else could do that… It was a great win for us.”

Chapman continued, “We went out for a jump ball…the referee threw the ball out and Michael elbowed me. He elbowed me in the sternum…on purpose.“. Well, things didn’t stop there. The six-time champion also dropped 40 points as the Heat suffered an embarrassing loss. Chapman was convinced Jordan had it all planned. I’ve added,
