Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter, Travis Scott, Stephen A. Smith share box suite; Herbstreit reacts

The College Football Playoff national championship game between No. 1 Michigan and No. 2 Washington will take place Monday night.

In fact, Kirk Herbstreit called that particular set the “ideal place.”

That’s because former NBA great Michael Jordan, former New York Yankees Hall of Famer Derek Jeter, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith and singer/songwriter Travis Scott were all in attendance during the CFP in Houston Hang out.

The internet took notice.

ESPN’s Chris Fowler called the suite “the ideal place.”

Jordan’s Jumpman brand has been part of the Michigan program for years. Jeter also wore a Michigan sweatshirt.

In 2016, Michigan signed a 15-year, $174 million contract with Nike and Jordan Brand. The historic deal makes the Wolverines the first football team to wear Jumpman apparel and footwear. Nine other schools have since followed suit.

They weren’t the only celebrities in attendance. Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh (brother of Michigan State coach Jim Harbaugh) surprised the Wolverines coach on the sideline with a hug during the first half.
