Michael Jordan hosts national championship box filled with superstars, $3.5 billion worth of celebrity talent

The luxury suites during the College Football Playoff championship game could have been purchased by a professional sports team.

Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter shared a box at NRG Stadium in Houston on Tuesday to watch the Michigan Wolverines beat the Washington Huskies 34-13 to win the national championship.

Jordan invited many high-profile guests from the world of sports and entertainment to join him in the “Jumpman” suite.

“Look at this box,” a television announcer said. “Michael Jordan was there. Derek Jeter was wearing that white Michigan hoodie.”

Rapper Travis Scott and television personality Stephen A. Smith also attended the national championship game with Jordan and Jeter.

The suite’s total net worth is estimated at $3.5 billion.

“Wow, talk about a strong lineup! Legends uniting,” one fan wrote on Twitter

Another fan posted: “I guess my invitation got lost in the mail.”

“I wonder if Jordan bet on the game. Haha,” said a third fan.

Others questioned why Smith was staying in the same suite as an internationally renowned sports legend.

“Why is Stephen A. in the damn room???” one fan asked.

“Stephen A walked into the wrong suite,” joked another.

Jordan won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls and was entered into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009.

Jeter won five World Series with the New York Yankees and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020.

As Jordan and Jeter enjoyed a huge win at Michigan together, the same College Football Playoff suite in Houston hosted a total of 11 professional world championship games.

Jordan had previously attended UNC’s NCAA men’s Final Four game in the same building.
