Michael Jordan’s ex-wife Juanita breaks down Christmas traditions with healthy alternatives

What do you think of when you hear the word “Christmas”? Santa, decorated tree, hot chocolate, gifts and family games. However, Michael Jordan’s ex-wife Juanita Vanoy chose to ignore one key element, possibly the most important element of Christmas. Just one day ago, the mother of three shared a heartwarming post for her youngest son Marcus’ 31st birthday.

Juanita jumped on the holiday bandwagon, sharing a post on Instagram as the world celebrated the birth of Jesus. While it looks similar to other Christmas decorations, it has an extra feature in that the traditional Christmas tree is missing.

In a recent Instagram post, Juanita Vanoy shared a photo of her fireplace decorated with red and white Christmas stockings. They were arranged neatly above the fireplace, with a short Santa Claus toy with poinsettias on it in front. There are huge decorations around the small table which also depicts the minimalist design. In front is a wooden board with colored lights and the words “Merry Christmas” written on it. Already anticipating a question she might get bombarded with in the comments section, Juanita explains why there’s no Christmas tree and included heartfelt wishes in the caption.

she wrote, “I didn’t have time to plant a tree this Christmas so I decorated a table and my fireplace. Sending you all a Merry Christmas and all the best in 2024 and making this the best one yet Year.”
