TV host Michael Strahan begged “Dancing with the Stars” to invite him back after the “Good Morning America” host gave an update on his future on the morning show.
The popular NFL analyst appeared as a guest judge on DWTS during Motown Night.
While Michael, 51, was still away from his hosting duties, he made a quick appearance on GMA to discuss his time as a guest judge on DWTS.
The former New York Giant gave fans a behind-the-scenes look by sharing clips from his “night in the ballroom.”
Michael said it was an “incredible evening”, adding that the judges, host and dancers “couldn’t have been more welcoming” and made him feel like he belonged.
Because of the show’s atmosphere, he happily agreed to join that evening’s show, exclaiming, “Yes, I want to be a guest judge!”

George Stephanopoulos, 62, asked: “So are you going to add another job to your portfolio?”
“No, George, I’m staying by your side,” Michael replied.
The GMA host then added, “And George, I will add another job to my portfolio when you dance on national television,” much to the delight of the other hosts.
George waited until the laughter died down before asking, “How much money would you guys be willing to bet he’ll get another job before I do Dancing with the Stars?”

Robin Roberts, 62, then joked: “There’s nothing you can’t do, but we thought we’d see a little Magic Mike. We thought we’d see you screw up there.”
As the segment came to an end, Michael admitted, “It couldn’t have gone better… everyone here was so welcoming and welcoming and made me feel right at home.
“I had so much fun yesterday that I didn’t know what to expect, and it exceeded all my expectations.”
The interview was posted on GMA’s Instagram page, where fans weighed in on Michael’s performance on DWTS and his future on the morning show.
One person wrote: “He was great!!”
A second fan commented: “Michael is a great dance judge!”
“Definitely his next gig,” added a third.
A fourth commenter noted: “I thought Michael was great as a judge.”
And a fifth agreed, writing: “He did a great job. I really liked it!”
“WHAT DOES HE KNOW?”
Before appearing as a guest judge, some fans criticized Michael’s new appearance as a stupid move and insisted that the morning show host did not have the necessary experience to be a guest judge.
Michael joined Carrie Ann Inaba, 55; Derek Hough, 38; and Bruno Tonioli, 67, at the table.
Michael was the first guest judge since Len Goodman’s retirement and death.
However, the 51-year-old is not the first guest judge on the show.
Many of them were choreographers, former DWTS pros, or former contestants, so they had some dance experience.
Michael has never been on the show and is not known to have much experience.
There were other judges, such as his GMA co-hosts Robin, Michael Bublé, Kevin Hart and Jessie J, who were also not professional dancers.
When the announcement was posted on GMA’s official Instagram page, some fans questioned Michael’s dancing background.
“What does he know about dancing?” asked one fan.
“Boring. What experience does he have? Dumb move,” said another.
A third added: “It’s like when Ellen DeGeneres was a judge on American Idol that they knew about singing and dancing.”
“Hmm well this will be very interesting to watch…let’s see how great of a guest host he is,” said another.
However, there were a lot of positive comments from fans who said they would love to see him on the show.
MICHAEL MIA
Michael was absent from GMA this week.
He is usually not available on Mondays during football season because he hosts Fox NFL Sunday broadcasts in California.
His co-star Robin Roberts was also absent on Monday for a special trip but returned on Tuesday.
However, Michael is out of the studio again as he prepares for DWTS, also on the West Coast.
DeMarco Morgan and Linsey Davis filled in for Michael this week.
