Art and culture do not rest: on August 15, many state museums, parks, archaeological and cultural monuments are open. And some of them are even free.

This was reported by the Ministry of Culture.

“During the mid-August bridge, state museums, archaeological parks and places of culture, including castles, abbeys, monumental complexes, villas and gardens, will remain open on 14 and 15 August 2023. On this occasion, some institutions will be postponed until another day. weeks, closing is scheduled for Monday or Tuesday.

The official website of the Ministry of Culture has a constantly updated list of public museums and facilities open during the August holidays (although it is recommended to always consult the official site of the place to find out the opening and closing times and get all the necessary information).

It is impossible to list all the museums that will be open, but here are some of the most famous, in some of the largest Italian cities, that can be visited even during these holidays.
