Mid-August in Castel San Pietro with the Teodorico Summer Festival.

Are you looking for an idea to spend mid-August evenings outdoors in the name of sustainability, cinema, music and landscapes? Then what suits you is the Teodorico Summer Festival, reviewed already in the second edition, scheduled for tomorrow until August 15th at the terrace of Castel San Pietro.

“This initiative,” the city councilor said Pietro Giovanni Trincanato – combines culture, tourism offer, valorization of the territory and sustainability. It will offer the people of Verona, as well as the very many visitors that our city welcomes in the summer, a series of cultural events, not just cinema, in probably one of the most iconic and memorable places in our city. The Teodorico Summer Festival complements Verona’s already rich summer program, which the Teatro Scientifico/Teatro Laboratorio is already helping to bring to life. The protection of cultural heritage and its improvement must go hand in hand with the protection of the environment, and such activities help people to become more and more aware of the importance of a sustainable lifestyle.”

The event is a Teatro Scientifico/Teatro Laboratorio project under the artistic direction of Isabella Caserta, organized in accordance with the principles of sustainability and social responsibility, is part of the Verona Green Movie Land network and is held in collaboration with the Municipality of Verona and Fondazione Cariverona, who have made this place accessible.

This year’s theme is the relationship between cinema and literature, as all the films in the program are based on books. There will also be musical moments and events that will link the various arts to spend pleasant moments of exchange and unification on the most beautiful balcony overlooking the city.

Environment and sustainability. The Teodorico Summer Fest joins Verona Green Movie Land, a film, culture and tourism project for a sustainable neighborhood that looks to the future of its environment. With eight film festivals in the Verona area, including the Teodorico Summer Festival, united not only by a passion for cinema in all its forms, but also by a particular focus on sustainability and social responsibility.

This place can be easily reached by funicular or by the panoramic staircase located between the houses next to the Roman theater, for an ecological impact on the environment (people with disabilities can of course climb by car).
