Millie Bobby Brown shows off her acne in a no-makeup selfie

Millie Bobby Brown told fans about her skin.

Stranger Things The 19-year-old star shared two photos on Instagram on Monday in which she revealed that she has been experiencing acne breakouts.

The first photo was a mirror selfie: the actress turned to her side, raising her hair and looking into the camera. In the next slide, Brown shared a close-up of her makeup-free face as she pursed her lips.

In the caption of the post, she praised her beauty and skincare brand, writing: “@florencebymills come to the rescue!”

Brown has already shown off her real skin and spoken candidly about “embracing imperfections,” as she did in an Instagram video in March. Then she shared with fans her skin care routine and her favorite Florence by Mills products to combat breakouts.

Back in 2019, Brown told PEOPLE that the brand’s name was inspired by her grandmother Florence, who helped her fall in love with her natural beauty.

“My grandmother really valued her individuality and expressing herself. I definitely like it,” she said. “I was told that I was similar to her in that way, and I wanted it to represent my brand as well.”

Brown also said she hopes the brand will help educate people of her generation about the importance of skin care.

“I think there’s a vacuum in the younger market and I think every young person deserves a good start in their skin care and beauty routine,” she said at the time.

Many of her fans praised Brown in the comments of her Instagram post on Monday for being honest about her acne.

“I love the way you show off your pimples. Breakouts are normal and normal♥️,” wrote one social media user. Another fan added: “Thanks for normalizing my breakouts. ❤️.”

Brown’s fiancé, Jake Bongiovi, also left a message, writing: “Love this.”

Enola Holmes the actress recently shared in an interview with the publication Glamor that Bongiovi, 21, played an important role in her personal growth.

“I thought, ‘Why do you love me? And then he listed all the things I hate about myself. I thought, “Do you see the good in these things?” And he was like, ‘Of course I want to,'” she said.

“Now that’s what I like about myself,” Brown continued. “He was a really big, huge part of my self-love and becoming a woman. It was like, “Wow, I really love this person because he allows me to love myself.”

The two first sparked romance rumors in June 2021 after sharing a photo together on Instagram and announcing their engagement in April 2023. For the announcement, Brown shared a black-and-white photo of the two on Instagram with lyrics from Taylor Swift’s song “Lover,” writing, “I’ve loved you for three summers honey, I want them all 🤍.”
