The Women’s and Children’s Hospital reported the following news from 8pm on Friday, October 20, to 8am on Monday, October 23:

The adult ward admitted 249 patients, 56 of whom were hospitalized. There were 79 obstetric visits, 106 gynecological visits, and 50 medical outpatient visits.

A total of 794 patients were admitted to the pediatric ward, 50 of whom were hospitalized. Causes of emergencies included 182 due to respiratory illnesses, 81 due to various injuries, 44 due to gastroenteritis and 16 due to dog bites.

There were 36 live births: 17 males and 19 females.

Arturo Oñativia Hospital had a total of 37 emergency ward consultations on Saturday and Sunday, the main reasons being: diabetic decompensation, abdominal pain, unexplained fever and functional diarrhea.

From 8 pm on Friday, October 20, to 8 am on Monday, 23 October, on-call service staff at the Dr. Miguel Lagon Mental Health Hospital treated 35 people in need of urgent psychiatric and psychological assistance.
