More than two-thirds of Americans plan to get a flu shot this season, according to a CVS Health survey.

The flu and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccines are available by appointment in advance, allowing patients to plan ahead and secure a convenient appointment.

According to the CDC website, patients should get their flu vaccine in early fall, before flu season begins, and ideally no later than late October. The COVID-19 vaccine is free for all patients, and the flu shot is free for most insurance plans, including Medicare Part B.
