Plot of the Film The Competition: The film is based on events that occurred during the 1970 Miss World pageant, held in London and hosted by actor Bob Hope. The competition at the time was very popular all over the world, in fact the program had millions of viewers.
A group of women members of the Women’s Liberation Movement, led by activist Sally Alexander, interrupted the beauty contest, taking the stage, to protest with placards and stir up public opinion. This gesture allowed the liberation movement, which had recently been founded, to gain fame beyond the borders, thanks to the live broadcasting worldwide. The contest, much discussed and attacked, resumed in a normal way, after the removal of the activists, but ended with a historic turning point, the victory of Miss Grenada, Jennifer Hosten, the first black winner of Miss World.
A double victory on the London stage, which allowed women to express their opinion, demonstrating that they don’t necessarily have to submit to the patriarchy, and to finally see an ideal of beauty that has been discriminated against for too long crowned…

Plot of the movie American Woman: The film is set in a small town in Pennsylvania. It is 1998 and Deb is a young single mother of a teenage girl, Bridget, who herself has recently had a baby.
Although life is difficult for them and family relationships are stormy, Deb and Bridget manage to get by and carry on from day to day as best they can.
Deb is very attentive to her daughter and helps her raise her child by allowing her to have the necessary leisure time for her age. One evening she Bridget decides to go out with Tyler, the birth father of the newborn, and she asks her mother if she can babysit the little one. When Deb realizes her daughter hasn’t come home the next morning, she looks for her in vain. Bridget has disappeared into thin air.
Desperate, she will report the disappearance of her daughter and from that moment she will begin a long and excruciating search that will last eleven very long years, until the day the truth emerges…

Plot of the film Still Alice: The film stars Alice Howland, a 50-year-old wife, mother and renowned professor of linguistics at Columbia University, whose work is respected at every university in the United States. One day in class she realizes that her memory is no longer what it used to be. In the middle of a sentence she forgets an important term and she waits embarrassed to find a synonym for it.
That’s rather unusual for a professor of his calibre. After spending time with her daughter Lydia, who aspires to be an actress despite her mother’s reluctance, Alice returns to New York. There, a second disturbing episode happens to her. As she takes her usual jog around campus, she loses consciousness completely. She decides to keep it from the family, and she begins seeing a neurologist who orders a series of tests. She is convinced she has a brain tumor, while the doctor puts forward an even more devastating hypothesis: a presenile form of Alzheimer’s. Plot of the movie Baby Boom: The film follows the story of JC Wiatt, a brilliant career woman at a prestigious company in New York. JC leads a hectic and busy life, always focused on giving his best at work. Everything changes when one evening the woman receives an unexpected call: she is told to go to the airport the next day to collect a certain inheritance from an English cousin who died recently and of which she is the only relative of hers.
Arrived on the spot, convinced that she has to collect the money, Elizabeth, a girl of just over a year, is handed over to JC. Initially the woman panics: she doesn’t have time to take care of a child and furthermore she has no experience as a parent. After trying to put the baby up for adoption, JC feels the right thing to do is take care of Elizabeth, even though it means sacrificing her job in New York.
After packing, JC and the baby move into a beautiful and peaceful house in Vermont, surrounded by beautiful fruit trees. There the woman begins to live a new life, away from the hustle and bustle of the city…

Plot of the film Nine bullets – Escape to freedom: It is the story of Sam, a boy who had the misfortune of witnessing the murder of his parents. To commit this crime was the terrible underworld boss Jack. Sam’s fault was to have stolen the iPad with the killer’s bank details inside.
The boy’s life is now in danger but Gypsy, a former burlesque dancer who lives in the apartment next to his, decides to save him. Gypsy’s fault, on the other hand, was that she had an affair with Jack.
The woman and the child leave with the car to flee from the ruthless criminal, who has already sent a team to hunt for the two. Gypsy will do anything to save the child and redeem herself from a life made of bad choices, even carrying a gun and using violence if necessary…
