Plot of the film: The film tells the story of Joseph Hallenbeck, a former U.S. Secret Service agent who went rogue because he was inconvenient in the eyes of an important senator despite saving the life of President Jimmy Carter. To survive, all he has to do is return to being a private investigator, running a small agency in Los Angeles in partnership with Mike Matthews. With the loss of his job, the man developed an alcohol addiction, which does not help his already difficult relationship with his teenage daughter Darian and wife Sarah. The situation is aggravated when one day, returning from an ambush, he finds his wife in bed with his partner. Despite what happened, the man still decides to take on the task assigned to him by Mike a few days before he died in the attack: he must protect the stripper Corey from a dubious criminal.

Plot of the film: A certain Joe arrives in the small town of San Miguel. The innkeeper Silvanito tells a stranger about a feud between two local families for control of the city: the Ramon brothers, Esteban and Benito Rojo, liquor dealers, and Sheriff John Baxter, an arms dealer. Joe then decides to sell himself to both factions, starting a double game to bring the two sides into conflict, hoping they will destroy each other, and scrape together some money.
The stranger seizes the opportunity when he sees the massacre of the Rojos over a detachment of Mexican soldiers who accompanied the chest with gold: in fact, the three brothers planned to exchange the booty for a batch of new rifles. So Joe picks up two corpses and drags them to the nearest graveyard. Back in town, he informs both families that two soldiers survived the attack. Everyone rushes to the cemetery, where a shootout ensues.
As the fight continues and Esteban captures John Baxter’s son Antonio, Joe goes looking for the chest of gold at Rojo’s hacienda. In doing so, he accidentally hits a woman named Marisol. Therefore, he decides to take her to the Baxters so that they can agree with Rojo on an equal exchange of prisoners. But that’s not all for the mysterious shooter, who will have to cunning until the last fight…
