Municipal health agency provides free flu vaccinations

• Suitable for children 6 to 23 months old, pregnant women, medical personnel, people with underlying diseases or risk factors, and adults over 65 years old.
• At the Prince of Asturias Hospital and the Municipal Children’s Hospital, three medical specialty directorates, the Directorate of Preventive Medicine, the Directorate of Primary Care and 100 health centres.

The Municipality of Córdoba informs residents that free flu vaccinations will begin today at all municipal health sites.

People are asked to increase their care practices to prevent infections and respiratory illnesses typical of the upcoming winter, underscoring the importance of getting a flu shot to get through the cold days in the largest number of people protected.

The vaccine has been distributed to health facilities through the Ministry of Health. Neighbors can participate according to the following schedule:

Príncipe de Asturias Hospital (Defensa 1200): Monday to Friday 8 am to 7 pm

Municipal Children’s Hospital (Luis de Góngora 550): Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

DEM Centro (Sarmiento 450): Monday to Friday 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm

DEM Oeste (Deán Funes 200): Monday to Friday 8 am to 3 pm

DEM Norte (corner Anaacreonte, Jujuy): Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Preventive Medicine (Santa Rosa 360): Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 12 noon

Primary Care Bureau (Salta 480): Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wellness Center: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It is important to remember that vaccination is done once a year and is especially suitable for the following people:

· Boys and girls aged 6 to 23 months (given in two doses, at least 4 weeks apart).

· Pregnant women in any trimester of pregnancy.

· Postpartum women, within 10 days of delivery if not vaccinated during pregnancy.

· Health personnel from various regions.

· People aged 2 to 65 years old with underlying diseases or risk factors, such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, heart disease, obesity, transplant recipients, immunosuppression or long-term treatment.

· People over 65 years of age.
