The musician Adam Schlesinger he died this Wednesday at age 52 due to complications of the coronavirus (Covid-19).
In accordance with The New York Times, the attorney of Adam, Josh Grier announced the news.
Adam was a member of the bands Fountains of Wayne and Ivy. The first considered a cult and whose single “Stacy’s mom” peaked at number 21 on the Billboard in 2003.
Among his awards he was nominated for the Oscar and golden Globe for Best original song for his work on the film “That thing you do!”, 1996 where he composed the theme.
The film was directed by Tom Hanks and revolves around a Rock band dummy called The wonders who, precisely, had only a commercial success (one hit wonder).
In addition, in accordance with The New York Times Schlesinger won three Emmy’s for his work on the tv show “Crazy ex-girlfriend”.
The death adds to the list of celebrities who have also lost the battle with the coronavirus (Covid-19). The musician was hospitalized since last week.
