Michael Jordan’s name is synonymous with NBA greatness. Millions of fans still have fond memories of Jordan’s legendary time with the Chicago Bulls. However, over the years, some of Jordan’s contemporaries have spoken out against the six-time champion.
Jordan’s former teammate Scottie Pippen was one of Jordan’s most vocal critics, calling him “horrible” early in his career. Two-time NBA champion Isiah Thomas also seemed to have had his fair share of issues with Jordan over the years.
However, Thomas’ current issues with Jordan stem from the “Last Dance” documentary. From Thomas’ perspective, I believe he and Jordan had a good relationship – at least until he watched the miniseries.

At one point in “The Last Dance,” Jordan calls Thomas an offensive name. Thomas took issue with those comments, and on the latest episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” the Detroit Pistons legend doubled down on his refusal to forgive Jordan.

Thomas also outlined what needs to happen in order for the pair to be restored to good standing.
“This guy called me a ‘bastard’ on international television, a guy who was very nice to him,” Thomas Green told me. “If you didn’t mean it, say it publicly. If you did, I understand. I’m fine with that.”
Jordan said Thomas knew his vision for the NBA during his playing days.
“The public reaction changed his perspective to some extent,” Jordan noted in The Last Dance . “You can show me anything you want, but you can’t possibly convince me that he’s not a jerk.”
The documentary explores Jordan’s final season in Chicago, with the six-time NBA Finals MVP also addressing long-standing rumors that he was responsible for Thomas being left off the 1992 U.S. men’s Olympic basketball team. The team later became known as the “Dream Team”. ”
There was speculation at the time that Jordan claimed he would only participate if Thomas was left off the roster. However, Jordan pushed back on the idea, saying he didn’t explicitly ask Thomas not to be on the team.
