Netflix cancels Nancy Meyers rom-com

Netflix has decided to shelve the new film directed by Nancy Meyers, titled Paris Paramount, due to budget issues. The director has been missing from directing films for eight years, when The Unexpected Intern was released in 2015 with Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. The news was published by Deadline.

While there has been talk of a sequel to Love Doesn’t Go on Vacation for some time, according to Netflix magazine she would have tired of Paris Paramount’s growing budget. The streamer had initially accepted a budget of 130 million dollars but the director would have pushed the figure up to 150 million.
