Netflix drama Heartstopper filmed on Dorset beach

Film crews were spotted on Lyme Regis seafront.

They were seen yesterday and today on Monmouth and Sandy beaches, with filming equipment scattered along the beach.

Production company See-Saw Productions remained silent when contacted by the Bridport and Lyme Regis News newspapers, but a letter to residents said filming was scheduled to take place between October 2 and 5.

The letter told residents the company was β€œcommitted to keeping disruption to a minimum.”

Tomorrow continues on the beach as well as Broad Street before moving on to the South West Coast Path and Langmoor and Lister Gardens on Thursday.

Netflix confirmed on Monday that a third season of the British teen drama is in production.

The series stars Keith Connor, Joe Locke, Stephen Fry and Olivia Colman.

It tells the story of Charlie Spring (Locke), a gay high school student who falls in love with classmate Nick Nelson (Connor), whom he sits next to in his new uniform. It is based on the successful LGBTQ+ webcomics for young adults by Alice Oseman.

Lyme Regis has proven to be a popular filming location, with scenes for the upcoming Wonka film filmed on the Cobb.

In March 2019, crowds of people excitedly gathered near the city’s waterfront to catch a glimpse of Kate Winslett and Saoirse Ronan while filming Ammonite.
