Ford introduced the new generation of Ranger, the midsize pickup that competes in the Toyota Hilux, Volkswagen Amarok, Chevrolet S10, Nissan Frontier and Renault Alaskan segment, among other models.
In relation to the current model, it has novelties in terms of design, platform, equipment and mechanics. It is a totally different vehicle than the one known so far. It was developed by Ford’s team of designers and engineers in Australia.

How is the new Ford Ranger
Visually, the new generation Ranger shares the DNA of Ford’s global pickups. The design features a new grill and C-shaped Led headlights on the front, at the same time that the pleading steps are slightly widened for a more robust look.
Inside, premium soft-touch materials and a huge central touch screen with Ford’s signature SYNC 4 connectivity and entertainment system, which can be 10-inch or 12-inch. From there you can see all four sides of the vehicle thanks to a 360-degree camera.
Under the new body there is an improved chassis with a 50mm longer wheelbase. A hydroformed front frame creates more space in the engine compartment for the new V6 engine and helps prepare the Ranger for other powertrain technologies in the future. It also allows more air flow to the radiator, helping to keep temperatures low when towing or hauling heavy loads.
There are four confirmed engines for the international market, although it was not specified which ones will be available in Argentina: V6 3.0 turbodiesel with 10-speed automatic gearbox, 2.0 biturbo diesel with six-speed manual gearbox or ten-speed automatic gearbox, 2.0 turbodiesel with manual or six-speed automatic transmission and 2.3 turbo gasoline with 10-speed automatic gearbox.
