New York Mansion That Belonged to Pedophile Jeffrey Epstein Sold for $ 50 Million

Jeffrey Epstein's New York mansion has already been sold.

A few days ago we let you know that the New York mansion that belonged to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was close to being sold, today the operation is already a reality. On Tuesday, March 9, the deal was closed.

The sale was confirmed by media such as CNN and New York Post, where it was detailed that the new owners, whose identity is unknown, disbursed about $ 50 million dollars, a figure much lower than expected at the beginning, since the property arrived to be announced for up to $ 88 million.

The money raised will go to the Epstein Victims Compensation Program, which is going through a very difficult economic situation, to such an extent that last week it announced the suspension of compensatory offers for the victims of the sexual predator since it did not count with sufficient resources to move forward and meet the needs of the more than 150 women who have demanded it.

“Issuing compensation offers that cannot be financed in a timely or complete manner, consistent with the way the program has operated to date, would compromise the interests of the plaintiffs and the principles that govern the program,” said the attorney. New Yorker Jordana Feldman through a statement.

So far the program has only received $ 50 million, so the sale of Jeffrey Epstein’s mansion in the Big Apple will help them a little more, although it is still far from the figure they expect to receive. The late mogul’s fortune is around $ 630 million.

The seven-story property was built in 1930 by Herbert N. Straus, one of the heirs to Macy’s department store.

It is neoclassical in style, consists of 28,000 square feet, and is located on the Upper East Side, one of the areas with the highest demand in the city.

After belonging to Herbert N. Straus, the house was converted into a school and then passed into the hands of Leslie Wexner, a tycoon who decided to hand it over to Epstein in 2011.

With the sale of this property, it would only be necessary to launch the ones it owned in New Mexico and Paris on the market, since the one it had in Palm Beach is already in negotiations to be demolished and start a new architectural project.
