The Minnesota Vikings lost starting quarterback Kirk Cousins to an Achilles injury in their Week 8 win over the Green Bay Packers last month.
The Vikings are 4-4 and still looking for a wild-card spot in the NFC playoffs despite the absence of Cousins and an injury to star receiver Justin Jefferson.
The question at the time was whether the Vikings would add a quarterback in some way. They eventually reached an agreement with the Arizona Cardinals to acquire Josh Dobbs before the Oct. 31 trade deadline.
The Vikings have also reached out to an NFL legend, according to 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Scott Zolak.

Zolak’s revelation came during a segment (which you can watch in the video player above) in which he and his co-host Marc Bertrand were talking about what Bengals fans hope Brady can do Came out of retirement to save Cincinnati’s season after Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury.
Zolak did not provide any details about the Vikings and Brady, such as when exactly the team would reach out. He did say earlier in the segment that “Brady is done.”
Brady on the Vikings will certainly be fun to watch. But the Vikings, at least at this point, appear to have made the wise decision to bring in Dobbs. The veteran quarterback has a 2-1 record in three games with the Vikings, with four touchdown passes and one interception. Minnesota is 6-5 and holds the NFC’s third and final wild-card playoff spot, ahead of their rivals the Green Bay Packers (4-6).
Brady retired for the second time in January. Whenever he’s asked about returning to the NFL again, the future Hall of Famer is quick to say he’s happy with the decision he’s made.
