His recent film Bottom, is no exception. The man has already gone viral for his role as Jeff’s advocate.
What will happen next to Golitsyna? He will play a Harry Styles-inspired character in the fan fiction film alongside Anne Hathaway. Yes, you read that correctly. And no, we don’t know who we envy more – Golitsyna or Hathaway.

Based on the first book by Robin Lee, published in 2017. The idea of you tells the story of Hayes Campbell (Galitsin), lead singer of the popular boy band August Moon. Izzie (played by Ella Rubin) is a big fan of Augusta Moon and brings her recently divorced mother Sophie (Hathaway) to their Coachella performance.
This is where things get interesting. Sophie and Hayes meet by chance at a festival and begin a secret, passionate love story. Sophie briefly got a taste of the glamorous life of a pop star. But then their romance becomes very famous on the Internet, and they have to deal with backlash from Hayes’ fans. The couple must then decide if their relationship is worth all the difficulties.
And Golitsyna is not the only star who is currently causing a sensation. In addition to Hathaway’s role in The idea of youshe’s getting ready to release her LGBTQ+ thriller Eileen in December of this year. And that’s not all: another interesting project is coming. Will Golitsyn play Harry Styles?
According to the author, “The Idea of You” is not directly based on Harry Styles. Lee said Fashion that the book “was never meant to be a Harry Styles book.” Instead, she says, the book is about “the story of a woman in her 40s who reclaims her sexuality and reinvents herself.” However, Lee admitted that he was thinking about the former One Direction member while he was writing.
“Hayes is very different from Harry Styles. I think people who know about Harry and/or want to introduce him will understand this. And rightly so, because the most successful British boy band of the last ten years is One Direction,” she said. Goodreads.
So, it looks like Galitzine’s Hayes isn’t entirely based on Harry Styles, but there are certainly some similarities. Anyway, the audience will be able to fulfill their dream and fall in love with the vocalist when they see the film!
The idea of you reported that filming would wrap in 2022, but did not announce a release date. Hopefully it will be on Prime Video soon.
