Offset stopped by The Breakfast Club to talk about his album, but Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy asked him about threats from Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty.
“Dude, please,” Offset said. “I will never do such nonsense. All this nonsense is a joke. I don’t even want to bring this up. I laugh at shit like that. I have real money, I do real business. I’m flying to Coach Prime by plane. I am 30 years old. I’ve grown a hell of a lot. Do you know how long it took me to move on from this? This is nonsense on the Internet. Anything like that, I just brush it off.”
Offset has previously stated that some of his decisions have cost him money and he believes it’s a trap he can break out of.
Fights and skirmishes between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are normal. Both their husbands getting involved in this is a new wrinkle. Last month, Kenneth Petty threatened Offset on social media. Unfortunately for him, this threat led to legal problems.
A federal judge in Los Angeles sentenced Petty to 120 days of house arrest for his threats, according to prominent court reporter Megan Cuniff.
“Mr. Petty was recorded on video making threats against a specific individual while in the company of a person with a criminal record,” the order states. “This recent violation raises concerns about Mr. Petty’s willingness to comply with the Court’s orders.”
