American singer Madonna posted on her Instagram page a series of rare archival footage taken back in 1985.

The 62-year-old pop music legend has posted black and white pictures taken by Japanese photographer Kenji Wakasugi. They show Madonna in her iconic 1980s look – a black corset top with lace on the chest and a short skirt with a Boy Toy buckle belt.

“It’s better not to know what awaits you around the corner …” – wrote Madonna in the signature to the publication.

Madonna decided to share a series of shots in honor of the release of the book Adore Madonna by photographer Kenji Wakasugi. It includes photos of the singer taken during her first trip to Japan in 1985. In particular, the book includes 200 pages, which contain 111 large portraits of the singer and other shots from the shooting.

According to Wakasugi, he was supposed to be filming Madonna for Playboy Weekly. The shooting was allotted only 45 minutes and it took place in the studio, where there was nothing but one flash and a sofa. In addition, Madonna did not have a stylist and make-up artist – the artist posed in the image in which she arrived at the studio.
