The third chapter of the Guardians of the Galaxy should be the longest of the trilogy, but James Gunn has promised fans that the duration will pay off the expectations.
In less than two months, Marvel fans will be able to witness the epic conclusion of the Guardians of the Galaxy, a franchise launched in 2014 and quickly becoming one of the most loved. The third chapter it should last almost 2 and a half hours, becoming to all intents and purposes the longest running of the saga, but James Gunn explained that it is a necessary duration for the story to tell.
In response to a fan’s question on Twitter asking if the film really lasted 2 hours and 29 minutes, the director replied: “That should be the length, but it has not yet been defined. I can promise you, however, that no second will be wasted. It was necessary to understand the entire narrative arc of each character of the Guardians, not only for this film but for the entire trilogy”.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will introduce two key characters who have important ties to Rocket Racoon: Lylla and the High Evolutionary. The former is an anthropomorphic otter who is Rocket’s former partner and love interest, while the latter, played by Chukwudi Iwuji, is a scientist specializing in evolution who is also Rocket’s creator.

Among the new entries also Will Poulter in the role of Adam Warlock, one of the most powerful and well-known characters in comics. The Marvel film with Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementiff, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel will arrive in Italian cinemas on May 3rd.
