Global pop star Olivia Rodrigo has announced her world tour, which will stop in Italy with the only highly anticipated concert on June 9, 2024 at the Unipol Arena in Bologna.
The second studio album “GUTS” was released on Friday (READ REVIEW), which has already surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify alone (on the day of its release, it recorded the 10th highest debut on the platform for an album by a female artist).
Last night, the artist also sang a medley of two singles, “Vampire/Get Him Back!” To MTV VMA, also received an award for best editing of a “vampire” video directed by Petra Collins.
“Vampire” debuted straight to No. 1 on Spotify’s global chart. To celebrate the release of her new album, Olivia Rodrigo shared a live performance of the album’s opening track, “All-American Bitch.”
Produced by stalwart collaborator Daniel Nigro and partially recorded at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in New York City, GUTS represents a further step forward in Rodrigo’s honest and unbridled songwriting and the originality of the twenty-year-old artist’s sound. The new album has already received critical acclaim, with the New York Times declaring that “Rodrigo, pop’s new promise, has become a bona fide rock star.”
“Vampire”, the first single released in June, was a powerful showcase of Olivia’s new, even more expansive artistry, receiving immediate critical and public acclaim. This is her highest debut across all digital platforms and the highest debut by a female solo artist on Spotify in 2023. “Vampire” also debuted straight to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 (and subsequently radio). The song also recently reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, making Olivia the artist with the most No. 1 songs in the UK charts this decade.
GUTS was conceived in Nigro’s garage studio in Los Angeles. While each song on the album contains the emotional honesty that has always characterized the singer-songwriter’s storytelling, this time the album features Olivia Rodrigo’s storytelling in a new musical dimension.

Directed by Jack Begert (Dominic Fike, Kendrick Lamar, Vince Staples) from production company Psycho Films and shot in Los Angeles with cinematographer Xiaolong Liu (Beyoncé, Rosalía, Billie Eilish, Travis Scott), the dynamic video captures the raw energy of the song and explores the dual the meaning of the title “Bring Him Back”. The video stars different parallel versions of Olivia – some are consumed by the desire to take revenge on their ex-boyfriend, others dream of getting him back.
The clip was shot on the camera of the brand new iPhone 15 Pro Max.
