Olivia Rodrigo announced that her “secret songs” from the album GUTS will be released on one collective vinyl this Black Friday.

In collaboration with Jack White‘s Third Man Records, bonus tracks by Olivia Rodrigo from select editions of her album. GUTS will finally appear in one place. But don’t get déjà vu from the album’s release last month—it’ll be brand new vinyl.
“I’m a huge fan of @Thirdmanrecords and am thrilled to have my songs on their vinyl!!!” Olivia wrote in her social media announcement. And her excitement makes sense, since the vinyl looks really well thought out. The 12″ vinyl, pressed on opaque dark purple wax, features four bonus songs: “Obsessed”, “Scared of My Guitar”, “Stranger” and “Girl I’ve Always Been”. Although there are no tracks on the B-side, the back of the vinyl has an image of a butterfly etched into it. It will be sold exclusively at participating music stores on Record Store Day

Now the combined release of all of Olivia’s secret tracks represents another collectible and appears to be more accessible to those who weren’t able to purchase all 4 complete albums. So this limited edition vinyl reactivates the same buzz around her secret songs.
Songs are still not being released digitally, forcing fans to go record shopping or go without. This reticence in itself is a bold move for Olivia, given the high demand for music streaming. Her secret songs have become a battle for exclusivity that has fans more excited than annoyed, especially since Olivia and her team are promoting a vinyl aesthetic that already appeals to her teenage fans. Surely the young singer and her team must be taking notes Taylor Swiftindustry approach because this marketing move is full of skill.
