As soon as he finished military school, Michael returned to his home with his mother and two younger brothers. Here he is waiting for a welcome back party and an atmosphere that he thought was all roses and flowers, instead the bitter surprise. The mother’s new boyfriend has already settled there and lives in their house.
She is too condescending to notice some aspects that could instead lead a more objective person to become suspicious: she is too fascinated by a man who seems perfect for a wealthy woman, with an all in all serene and middle-aged life like her. Maybe too much.
The boy, on the contrary, immediately shows himself to be very suspicious of the man’s too compliant attitude. Gradually the suspicions thicken leading him to begin an investigation into his stepfather’s past, which will lead him to discover something truly frightening and disturbing.
