The health department’s flu vaccination program for children ages 6 months to 4 years has concluded for the second consecutive Saturday, with a total of 61 children vaccinated. Of these, 48 received intranasal injections and the remaining 13 received intramuscular injections.

The Cibir Hall is once again a place where parents can bring their children without making an appointment. Nursing professionals cared for 206 children over two days, with the aim of continuing to improve immunity rates against the virus in these age groups.

The Ministry of Health and Social Policy once again encourages families to “vaccinate their children against influenza as a measure to protect not only themselves, but also the elderly and vulnerable people around them.” Depending on the scope of the epidemic, the disease affects between 20 and 40% of people % of the pediatric population, and 5% of cases end in hospitalization due to severity.
