Victor and Marianne are married and ‘reversed’. He would like to go back to the past, she would like to go forward. An unemployed designer who rejects the present and the digital, Victor is forced to leave the marital home. His victim is Marianne, a despotic psychoanalyst who needs stimulation and finds sensuality in Victor’s best friend, François. Aging and disillusioned, Victor accepts the invitation of the Time Traveller, a curious agency that stages the past. It is directed with obsessive scrupulousness by Antoine, who gives its patrons the chance to live in their favorite era thanks to spectacular sets and a group of seasoned actors. Anything is possible, have a drink with Hemingway or shoot an 18th century aristocrat. Victor chooses to relive his meeting with Marianne at a café in Lyon (“La Belle Époque”) one evening in May 1974. Captivated by the charms of the actress who plays his wife of twenty years, Victor finds the future mixed with the past.
