With the rise of streaming platforms in recent years, the Blu-ray and DVD market continues to expand, with many fans no longer interested in purchasing a physical copy. This resulted in less behind-the-scenes and deleted footage that didn’t make it into the final cut, which is a shame considering they added a whole new layer to the film.
One such example is the Tom Cruise film. Edge of Tomorrowstarring Emily Blunt, whose Blu-ray offered 7 deleted scenes, but perhaps the one that stood out was Cruise’s rude proposal to Blunt.

In one of the famous sci-fi film’s deleted training scenes, Tom Cruise’s character floats the idea that sex with Blunt’s Rita could transfer his ability to reset time to her. While this scene is funny in its own right, it makes sense why they cut it from the final cut, since there was no romantic or sexual connection between the two for most of the film.
This isn’t the only time Cruise has avoided showing any kind of sexual relationship with the female lead in his film, as has been the case in most of the actor’s major releases over the past decade. While pondering the possibility of a sequel to the critically acclaimed sci-fi classic, Emily Blunt said she would like to reunite with Tom Cruise.
