A little over a year after the Dolce&Gabbana fashion show, the island of Ortigia returns to host high fashion with the Fendi fashion show, which will bring the autumn-winter 2023/2024 haute couture collection to the coasts of Sicily. The city of Syracuse will merge its ancient architectural codes with the luxury of the Roman maison, in an evocative show of fashion, culture and art. Kim Jones therefore decides to temporarily leave Paris and bring Fendi back to Italy, with the brand’s most prestigious collection.

The fashion show will be held during the month of May and will bring a number of celebrities and relevant names from the show business to Syracuse. Last year, in July, Dolce&Gabbana enlivened the island with a spectacular show and a series of front row guests of the caliber of Monica Bellucci, Mariah Carey, Emma Roberts, Hellen Mirren, Drew Barrymore, Robert Lewandowski and Christian Bale. “Another great Italian luxury brand chooses our city for an exclusive event aimed at the maison’s most loyal customers from all over the world,” commented Mayor Francesco Italia on the occasion of the fashion show. “Once again this year Syracuse confirms itself as an international destination for top-level events for a cultural and tourist season of great appeal”.

From the Baroque-style buildings to the famous Duomo, built in the 5th century BC in honor of Athena, up to the castle of Federico II, Syracuse is a place of unrivaled charm which once again this year mixes with the language of fashion, in constant evolution. At the Milan fashion week, Fendi staged a show with a clean and sculptural style in reference to the classic style of Ancient Rome. We just have to expect a historical and stylistic contamination of great effect, which will see the next episode parade in the fascinating Syracuse.
