Conducted by Jimmy Kimmel, actor, comedian and presenter, the Oscars are back on March 12th. The details of the lineup are not yet known, but something has been leaked and changes have been made compared to previous years. Starting from the fact that all the categories will be live on the television broadcast, unlike the last time some were excluded and sent off the air. That is Editing, Production Design, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Score, Sound, Live Action Short Film, Documentary Short Film, and Animated Short Film. A choice that had provoked quite a few controversy. “I’m very confident that we can make a show that celebrates all components of cinema in a fun and engaging way,” he said Bill KramerCEO ofAcademy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. That of March 12 is the 95th edition of the Oscars and will be held in the historic headquarters of Dolby Theatre Of Los Angeles.

Who votes for the winners
Who will vote for the winners of the Oscars 2023 will be the over 9 thousand members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, divided into 17 categories. They are all experts in the field and most fall into the category of actors. Then there are directors, screenwriters, editors, musicians, producers and many others. But each member has the right to belong to only one branch of these. One can become a member of AMPAS in two ways: either by being nominated for an Oscar or by being nominated by another member for one’s contributions to the film industry.
