Who decides to write this book and go on this journey, Joseph Granellia radiologist from Codogno (Loudo), a big Happy Days fan since childhood, and founder and president of the International Happy Days Fan Club for about twenty years.
All the actors know him, he is the biggest fan and collector of Happy Days in the world; we met him in the news when he organized the Happy Days exhibition in Codogno in 2021, presenting his huge collection.

As Covid began to spread in Italy, starting in Codogno, Henry Winkler-Fonzi tweeted him directly for the city. Be healthy, take care of yourself. Based on this, Granelli decided to organize an exhibition dedicated to Happy Days go beyond the pandemic. The exhibition was presented Max Pezzaliwho, in one of his historical writings, yearsjust quote Happy Days and Ralph Malph years and who also writes an afterword to this book.

The book follows the series from its inception, revealing the stages of writing and recording episodes, the choice of production, the love of the audience, the story, the actors, the characters, the sets, the backstage; we also find exclusive interviews with Marion Ross, Don Most, Anson Williams, Scott Baio, and many others. There is no shortage of anecdotes and curiosities, such as the jukebox music that started with Fonzie’s fist; in fact, as Fonzie himself recounts in the preface, there was a wonderful man named Bob who quickly attacked the grip and made it work.

Happy Days is one of the most loved TV series of all time: in 2009, a poll showed that among 29 TV shows, it was the most favorite TV series of the 70s and 80s, ahead of Star Trek. He recruited such actors as Robin Williams, Julia Roberts AND Ann Hatawayhas won countless awards and received 16 nominations for the TV Oscars.

The book involves all the main characters of the series, as well as the production, director, Gary MarshallItalian soul, the son of emigrants from the province of Chieti, as well as some minor characters who, nevertheless, have forever remained in the hearts of fans from all over the world.

The book is also a guide to all episodes of 11 seasons, starting with the first pilot episode, with various actors from among those who would later go down in the history of the series (we read that Gary Marshall allocated three hours of rehearsals Ron Howard-Richie and Anson Williams-Potsee instead of one, he so wanted them to be in the cast). Entire chapters are dedicated to motorcycles, cars, songs, Fonzie’s famous phrases.
