over 100 million profits!

As you well know, the film was received negatively by critics (63% rating on Rotten Tomatoes) and by the public (the Cinemascore is B+, much lower than other Marvel films), with fans considering it as one of the worst movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to what was explained by Deadline, which has published the complete financial analysis of the film, despite these premises, the film has proved to be a success for Disney, generating over 100 million total profits against a total proceeds of $760.9 million and a budget of 250 million.

Takings in America were excellent, as it outsold even more than its predecessor, $342 million versus $315 million. Despite this, the total revenues in the world are less than Thor: Ragnarok (760 million against 855 million) as the film was not released in two extremely profitable markets of China and Russia.

Analyzing the fiscal document created by the site, Disney has obtained 350 million from the cinema release (after deducting the percentage destined for exhibitors and distribution costs), together with 140 million from the sale of home video and 160 million from the streaming and television broadcasts. A total dthe 650 million entered the coffers of Disney over time.

At the same time, between production (a good 250 million), marketing, video and print campaigns (195 million), revenue shares and various interests, the film has stolen from Disney’s pockets 547 million total.

Precisely for this reason, in the long run the profit was 103 million net.
