Part 2 will not premiere at Venice 2023

Dune: Part 2, the sequel directed by Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, will not be premiered in Venice 2023.

Dunes: Part 2 will not have its world premiere a Venice 2023while aiming for a possible debut at an international festival.
The possible presentation of the sequel directed by Denis Villenueve could therefore take place in New York, an event scheduled from 29 September to 15 October, or at one of the subsequent appointments.

In fact, the planned work on the special effects of the film Dune: Part Two will not be completed before the Venice Film Festival 2023, scheduled for the end of August.
The first chapter of the story based on Frank Herbert’s novels was instead presented at the Lido and in Toronto.

According to the sources of DeadlinesHowever, projects such as Napoleon by Ridley Scott, Ferrari by Michael Mann, Maestro directed by Bradley Cooper, and Killer by director David Fincher could still arrive in Venice. Among the titles indicated as possibly present in the program of the Festival also The Book of Clarence by Jeymes Samuel, whose cast is made up of LaKeith Stanfield, Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, Alfre Woodard, Teyana Taylor, Omar Sy, David Oyelowo, Micheal Ward, and RJ Cyler.

The cast of Dune: Part 2, whose filming has already concluded, will be able to count on the return of young stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. Among the interpreters of the first film confirmed in the project there are also Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Stellan Skarsgard and Javier Bardem.

Among the new arrivals, in addition to that of Tim Blake Nelson, there are Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Tim Blake Nelson, Léa Seydoux and Christopher Walken.

Dune and Foundation: the time of great science fiction has arrived

In the sequel Paul, the protagonist played by Timothée Chalamet, and his mother, partly entrusted to Rebecca Ferguson, will join forces with the Fremen to try to take revenge on those who destroyed their family.
Chani, played by Zendaya, should also have a more central role after being a limited presence in the first film.

The screenplay is signed by Villeneuve, who is also involved as a producer.
