There is less and less until the exit of Peter Pan and Wendy – live-action remake of the animated classic – and Disney he therefore wanted to provide some new details to his fans with a unreleased trailer, in which we see for the first time Peter Pan and Hook challenge each other to a duel. The epic adventure on Neverland will in fact arrive in streaming, on Disney+from April 28th.

Peter Pan & Wendy is only the latest Disney animated film to get its own live action adaptation, and the third to go directly to streaming – after Lady and the Tramp And Pinocchio. This year will then debut in the cinema The little Mermaidwhile in recent days important updates have arrived on live action de The Aristocats, Oceania And Lilo & Stitch. Based on the novel by JM Barrie – like the animated counterpart – the project tells of the magical encounter between Wendy – a house girl terrified of leaving her childhood home – and Peter Pan – the child who didn’t want to grow up. Together with Wendy’s two little brothers – Gianni and Michele – and a fairy, tinkle – Tinkerbell in the Italian translation – the two protagonists then arrive on Neverland, where they will meet the Lost Boys, Giglio Tigrato, the perfidious Captain Hook and the Sponge hub.
To take on the role of Peter Pan is the semi-rookie Alexander MolonyWhile Wendy is played by Ever Anderson – daughter of Milla Jovovich and director Paul WS Anderson, former face of the young Natasha Romanoff in Black Widow. The film also boasts the presence of Jude Law in the role of Captain Hook. The star then joins the long list of Hollywood stars who have lent their bodies and voices to iconic Disney villains – Helena Bonham Carter (Alice in Wonderland)Cate Blanchett (Cinderella), Luke Evans (The beauty and the Beast), Emma Stone (Cruella), Angelina Jolie (Maleficent) and Melissa McCarthy (The little Mermaid). They then complete the cast Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Joshua Pickering, Jacobi Jupe, Molly Parker, Alan Tudyk, Jim Gaffigan and Yara Shahidi – actress chosen for the role of Campenellino, at the center of controversy and heavy racist attacks, like Halle Bailey, young interpreter of Ariel in the remake of The little Mermaid. The direction is instead by David Lowery – already behind the camera de The invisible dragon, Story of a ghost And Sir Gawain and the Green Knight -, who also worked on the screenplay of the feature film, together with Toby Halbrooks. At the moment it is not clear, however, what changes have been made to the original story, re-proposed in many versions to adaptations – unlike other Disney classics.
