David Fincher presents The Assassin, Toni Servillo, Carla Bruni, Isabelle Huppert and Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo.
Among the notable events of the Venice Film Festival weekend yesterday was the presentation of the film MurdererDirected by David Fincher: A highly anticipated film noir starring Michael Fassbender, a killer who begins to question his work until he turns against his clients. Considered one of the favorites to win the Golden Lion, the film is an adaptation of the graphic novel series of the same name by Alexis Nolent. Also joining the cast will be Tilda Swinton, who, like Fassbender, was absent due to the ongoing strike in Hollywood.

Didn’t even see the actors and director Owner, a competition film by Bradley Cooper, who is also the lead actress along with Carey Mulligan, Matt Bomer and Maya Hawke. It tells about the love story of the famous New York composer Leonard Bernstein (author of the musical West Side Story) and his wife and actress Felicia Montealegre. However, the couple’s children attended the presentation of the film: Jamie, Nina and Alexander.
Among the Italians, we saw Pierfrancesco Favino, Toni Servillo and Valerio Mastandrea, who are part of the film’s cast. Slowly Stefano Sollima (former film director subura and series Gomorrah AND crime novel): tells the story of a sixteen-year-old teenager who finds himself at the center of blackmail and ends up asking for the protection of two former criminals to avoid it.
Also there was Hong Kong actor Tony Leung Chiu-wai, who received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, as well as Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo at the Filming Italy Best Movie Award, an award for Italian cinema. Actresses Maggie Gyllenhaal and Sydney Sweeney also stood out, but they ended up not on some red carpet, but at a MiuMiu event on the occasion of the festival.
