The American singer Pink was named the most listened to artist in Great Britain in the 21st century, according to a ranking made by the company PPL (Phonographic Performance Limited), informs BBC, taken over by News.ro.
The listing was based on the use of music and broadcast data from British radio and television stations.
According to the data, Pink ranked ahead of some like Adele, Beyonce, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
The 42-year-old star, real name Alecia Moore, stood out with her first album, “Can’t Take Me Home”, with R&B sounds, released in the spring of 2000. With the second studio material, she closer to rock, before reaching the pop area.
Songs like “Just Give Me A Reason”, “Try”, “What About Us”, “Sober” and “Walk Me Home” are some of the most broadcast by radio stations.
The second place in the ranking is occupied by Madonna, followed by Katy Perry, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.

Adele, Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Little Mix and Whitney Houston complete the top 10 most listened artists in the Kingdom.
The Top 20 is completed by Taylor Swift, Sugababes, Kelly Clarkson, Dua Lipa, Ellie Goulding, Christina Aguilera, Diana Ross, Jess Glynne, Rita Ora and Ariana Grande.
