To access this mission, you need to complete the previous Team Go Rocket mission, which started in 2019 with “A Worrying Situation.” The last mission released before this was “Dark Fury”.

Reward: 1000 XP, 1000 Stardust, and an encounter with Phantump.

• Catch 15 Pokémon – 5 Pinecones
• Transfer 10 Pokémon – 10 Mega Balls
• Defeat 6 Team Go Rocket Recruits – 3 Mystery Components

Reward: 1500 XP, 1500 Stardust, encounter with Yamask in Galar

• Defeat Team Go Rocket Captain Arlo – 2500 XP
• Defeat Team Rocket Leader Cliff – 2500 XP
• Defeat Team Go Rocket Captain Arlo – 2500 XP

Reward: 2500 XP, 3000 Stardust, and Super Radar Rocket.

• Find the Boss of Team Go Rocket – 10 Super Potions
• Team Go Rocket Boss Battle – 10 Super Balls
• Defeat the Team Go Rocket boss – up to 6 resurrections

Reward: 3000 XP, 3000 Stardust and an encounter with Gengar in disguise.

How Shadow Showdown in Pokémon Go works

Shadow Showdown was released during Pokémon Go’s 2023 Halloween event and is part of the Team Go Rocket story.

To access this mission, you need to complete the previous Team Go Rocket mission, which started in 2019 with “A Worrying Situation.” The last mission released before this was “Dark Fury”.

The story of Team Go Rocket in Pokémon Go revolves around defeating Team Go Rocket’s recruits and purifying their dark Pokémon (which can be found).

You’ll also have to face leaders Arlo, Cliff and Serra, and sooner or later the organization’s top boss, Giovanni.
