What is an onion rack
This small but powerful tool helps to accurately cut various ingredients such as onions, lemons or potatoes. You simply insert the steel tines of a cleaver or onion rack (often called an onion rack) into the vegetables you need to chop or slice, then insert a knife between the spaces for even slicing.
I’m always on the lookout for the latest kitchen tips, so I really wanted to try this cutting tool. Will my onion chopping skills improve?

When this cutting tool arrived at the editorial office, I was initially skeptical about using this new (at least to me) appliance: it looked like a hair comb!
To start the test, I used it to chop onions and tomatoes, and instantly all doubts were put to rest. It’s quick and easy to use, and the space between the tips provides a good guide for inserting a kitchen knife and making all the same cuts. Once cut, all the ingredients look clean, even and effortless.

The plastic handle provides a secure grip while cutting, and the sharp tip easily reaches deep into onions or any other ingredients you need, keeping them stable.
Its small size (about the size of an A5 sheet of paper) also has its advantages: it doesn’t take up much space in your kitchen drawer, and it’s very easy to clean.

I swear by this cutting tool. It’s a great tool to have when you need to chop a lot of vegetables, from salads to pasta to delicious ratatouille, making chopping onions easy, fast, and clean.
Plus, it’s a cheap and very affordable appliance, and for something I now use every time I get out my cutting board.
So if you’re looking for a foolproof way to chop onions quickly and safely, get yourself some onion holders or vegetable cutters, whatever you prefer to call them.
